Pass out the cigars – MA’s has a sister!
That’s right! Congratulations are in order because MA’s Smokehouse has a sister – a sister shop, that is.
MA’s owner Matthew St. Amant has opened ‘Havana Sports and Cigar Bar’ next door to MA’s in Pierremont Town Square shopping center.
St. Amant is excited about offering two very different experiences right next door to one another.
“Havana is designed for the person who enjoys a great drink, an inviting atmosphere and if they choose, a good cigar,” says St. Amant. “MA’s is for serious cigar and pipe afficionados who enjoy high-quality cigars, pipes, tobacco and accessories.”
Of course, patrons of both shops can roam back and forth and enjoy the benefits of each.
Like MA’s, Havana offers interior and exterior seating for patrons, with high-back chairs and sofas for quiet conversations as well as bar stool seating for the more gregarious. Guests can also enjoy patio furniture in the outdoor ‘front porch’ lounge area, which is enclosed by a black wrought-iron fence.
Unlike MA’s, Havana features an experienced staff of drink mixologists who create house specialty cocktails and other custom drinks. The bar also offers a number of high-end liquors as well as macro-brewery and craft beers.
Havana sells cigars and encourages patrons to enjoy them inside the well-ventilated interior or outside on the front porch, but the cigar selection is limited to a few popular brands.
If a customer wants a stick that’s not so common, he – or she – can just pop next door to MA’s and choose from the finest selection of cigars available in Shreveport-Bossier.
